St. Marys and Area Memorial Forest Program

The St. Marys and Area Memorial Forest is a partnership between the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority,  Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, and the St. Marys Ministerial Association. The Memorial Forest program provides a lasting tribute to loved ones and helps to improve the environment.

The original Memorial Forest is located on a 19 acre parcel of land at Wildwood Conservation Area, at the southeast corner of Line 16 and Line 9 in Perth South Township. A new site was added in the spring of 2014, on a property off of Line 13, south of Perth Line 9.

A dedication service is held at Wildwood Conservation Area each August or September. Everyone who purchased a tree that was planted during the spring of that year is invited to attend. Invitations for the dedication service are sent out at the end of July.

Trees may be purchased through your funeral home of choice or by contacting the program administrators,  Andrew Hodges or  Pastor Richard Hryniw. The cost for a tree is $50, payable to “Memorial Forest.”
