July 9, 2019: The Glen Cairn Community Partners are hosting Adelaide Business in Bloom, a friendly competition to beautify the southern section of Adelaide Street!

“The goal of Adelaide Business in Bloom is to inspire the Glen Cairn community to make their neighbourhood and streetscape more visually appealing and environmentally friendly,” explained Jessica Penz, Community Partnership Specialist with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA).

Judges will announce the top three winners of the Adelaide Business in Bloom Competition

The competition is open to businesses and organizations at the south end of Adelaide Street between Commissioners Road and Thompson Road. Participants are encouraged to use native plant species and incorporate rain barrels and other environmentally friendly approaches.

The Glen Cairn Community Partners are working with local businesses, home owners, community members, the City of London, and agencies to find partners and projects that will help improve the local environment and engage the Glen Cairn community.
