Job Board
- Perform lifeguard duties for the swimming pool within the Conservation Area. This includes monitoring the pool and deck to ensure a safe environment. Responsibilities also include administering swimming ability tests as required. No instruction or swim lessons are to be provided as part of this position.
- Follow all established safety procedures and complete required documentation according to applicable legislation.
- Arrive prepared before the pool opens, wearing the required uniform (guard shirt, whistle, bathing suit, rescue aid), and assist with preparing the pool area for opening.
- Before opening each day, check that all required safety equipment is in place and meets regulatory standards.
- Complete routine pool maintenance, including water testing, adding chemicals as needed, and vacuuming the pool.
- Provide clear and respectful guidance to visitors about safe swimming and pool use.
- Perform rescues and provide first aid/CPR when required.
- Address unsafe behaviour and, when necessary, direct individuals to leave the pool area to maintain safety.
- Keep the pool area clean by removing garbage and any hazardous items.
- Be familiar with all emergency procedures and prepared to respond promptly.
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working as a lifeguard in a pool setting.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully with a wide range of pool users.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to use sound judgement and problem-solving skills in lifeguarding, emergency, and first-aid situations.
- Familiarity with outdoor pool operations, including basic water chemistry and safe handling of pool chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C – certification from a recognized provider (Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, St. John Ambulance, or Ski Patrol).
- Current National Lifeguard (NLS) – Pool Option certification.
- WHIMIS 2015 and additional swimming awards are considered assets.
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory police check and vulnerable persons check prior to commencement of employment.

Information Systems Support Technician

- Act as the first point of contact for IT (IS/IM) support, handling and triaging service requests.

- Support user onboarding, account setup, workstation preparation, and field staff mobile/connectivity needs.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and approved tools while supporting asset inventory and lifecycle tasks.
- Assist with SharePoint and information management, including document organization, permissions, and user support.
- Escalate complex issues with clear documentation, maintain knowledgebase content, and report recurring problems with improvement suggestions.
- Provide support for meeting technology, telephony, and basic software updates/patching under guidance.
- Deliver strong customer service, contribute to documentation/training materials, and participate in IT projects and deployments.
- Completion of a post-secondary program in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, computer programming, computer systems technician, or network administration).
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365, or equivalent training are considered an asset.
- 1–3 years of client-facing technical support experience, providing assistance in person or remotely.
- Strong experience supporting end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers), including setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Office applications, with solid knowledge of Windows (10, 11).
- Familiarity with help desk/ticketing systems; experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, or endpoint tools is an asset.

Maintenance, Wildwood Conservation Area
Job Status: Seasonal Contract (approximately April to October 2026, with start and end dates varying) Compensation: $19.64 (starting) to $24.08 per hour, plus 4% in vacation pay Number of Positions: multiple existing vacancies Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (may include days, afternoons, nights, and weekends) Location: Wildwood Conservation Area, St. Marys Application Closing Date: Open until position is filled. This is a hands-on role with outdoor work in spring and summer, supporting maintenance, visitor experience and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities- Perform a range of maintenance tasks including grass cutting, tree trimming, facility and trail maintenance, snow and ice removal, garbage and recycling collection, and other related duties, using provided equipment and training.

Planning Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Planning Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership for the implementation of the UTRCA’s municipal land use planning and inquiry services. Through these programs, the Planning Coordinator is responsible for contributing toward the achievement of the UTRCA’s goals, including the protection of life and property from natural hazards such as flooding and erosion.Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership, guidance and mentorship to staff involved in the review of Planning Act applications and the interpretation of Provincial Planning Statement policies related to Natural Hazards.
- Leading the review of complex or contentious applications under the Planning Act and other applicable legislation, and providing clear informed comments and recommendations.
- Supporting the strategic direction for the Planning program by working with the Manager on the development and implementation of the program budget and annual workplan.
- Contributing to various program activities and assisting in developing new policies for the Authority’s Planning Advisory Services.
- Working with an interdisciplinary team of professionals to provide effective project management and technical assistance as it relates to planning and development matters relevant to UTRCA.
- Representing the UTRCA by providing planning expertise at a variety of meetings, committees, boards, hearings and tribunals.
Qualifications:
- A university degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in Planning, Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a Geography-related discipline.
- Approximately five (5) years of relevant experience in resource management or municipal planning role, or a combination of experience and related professional practice appropriate to the role.
- Strong knowledge of land use planning and natural resource management legislation, regulations and policies, including the Provincial Planning Statement, Planning Act, Conservation Authorities Act, with practical experience applying this knowledge when reviewing development applications.
- Demonstrated understanding of watershed management
- Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), aerial photo interpretation & mapping, or the ability to develop proficiency with these tools as required.
- Strong communication skills, with staff and diverse stakeholder groups including the community, governments and agencies at a political and staff level.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and supporting a team in a collaborative
