Public invited to give input on Embro Dam Environmental Assessment (media release, February 2, 2023)

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), through their consultant Matrix Solutions Inc., is continuing work on the Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Embro Dam, in the Township of Zorra. The EA was initiated in 2015 due to significant concerns related to the dam’s structural integrity and hydraulic (spillway) capacity.

A Public Information Centre was held on Monday, January 30 to share information on the project and gather public feedback on proposed alternatives for the Embro Dam. Information from the open house, including details on the proposed alternatives, can be found here: www.bit.ly/3QkrmzA.

The UTRCA is inviting the public for input into selection of the preferred solution for the Embro Dam EA. Please note that the deadline for comments is February 13, 2023.
