Environmental Education and Outreach Programs

Empowering communities and youth

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority believes that the future health of our environment depends on the connections that children make with nature today. As leaders in environmental education for more than 40 years, we deliver innovative, curriculum-based learning programs to students from preschool to grade 12. Our hands-on, experiential programs teach environmental concepts and foster an appreciation for the natural world.

Our Community Education staff is based at Fanshawe Conservation Area (London) and Wildwood Conservation Area (St. Marys). They deliver a wide variety of programs at these two locations as well as in class and at outdoor sites throughout the watershed. Our goal is to develop environmental awareness and appreciation that will lead to action.
