After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the Oxford Children’s Water Festival returns with a free, in-person event on Saturday, June 11. The event is from 10 am to 3 pm in the day use area of Pittock Conservation Area in Woodstock.

Families are invited to enjoy water-themed activities, shows by Sciensational Sssnakes, terrarium building workshops, big trucks, canoeing, food trucks, drumming workshops, screen printing, button making, and more.

“We’re so excited to be able to gather again outdoors to celebrate water in our community!” says Linda Smith, UTRCA Water Festival Coordinator.

There are also live virtual activities for students from Wednesday, June 8 to Friday, June 10, including a dairy barn tour at Elarda Farms with the VanWely family, as well as wildlife talks with Salthaven Wildlilfe Rehabilitation and Education Centre and Sciensational Sssnakes. Interested participants are asked to register for the virtual events by Monday, June 6.
