Raptors and Fishing at Wildwood Conservation Area (media release, July 6, 2022)

Wildwood Conservation Area is hosting two great events this weekend!

Canadian Raptor Conservancy

  • Saturday, July 9, from 10 to 11 am
  • See live raptors from around the world!
  • Learn all about these fascinating birds
  • All ages welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Meet at the Wildwood CA Visitor Centre
  • Conservation Area entry fees apply for non campers

Family Fishing Day

  • Sunday, July 10, from 8 am to 12 noon
  • All ages and abilities welcome – no experience required!
  • Lots of great prizes donated by the Stratford Police Service
  • Food trucks on site
  • No fishing license required – it’s Ontario Free Family Fishing Week!
  • Fishing gear available for sign out on site, thanks to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters TackleShare program
  • Event registration is free; Conservation Area entry fees apply for non campers

“We’re so excited to welcome people to Wildwood Conservation Area,” said Hannah Ritsma, Summer Program Coordinator. “These events are a great opportunity to visit us, enjoy the outdoors, and see all that park has to offer.

Wildwood CA is located at 3995 Line 9, St. Marys, just west of Stratford.

Wildwood Conservation Area has so much to see and do:
