Stratford Invasive Plant Plan Community Information Session
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority and the City of Stratford are hosting a Community Information Session regarding the Stratford Invasive Plant Plan which was recently approved by City Council.

Himalayan Balsam in TJ Dolan Natural Area
The Stratford Invasive Plant Plan was developed by the Invasive Species Centre at the suggestion of the City’s Energy and Environment Committee. It is built around three categories of invasive species (current species, managed species, and species to watch in the future) to enable a broader strategic approach to invasive species management. The plan combines work completed by the City and its partners in and around the T.J. Dolan natural area and Lake Victoria, and offers recommendations and resources to improve prevention and management of invasive plants.
The Community Information Session will involve an overview of the plan; how to identify the most common invasive plant species; and how to use iNaturalist to report invasive plant locations within the City.
When: Wednesday, October 9, 2024
Time: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Where: Stratford Rotary Complex, Community Hall B
