“These days are a great opportunity for people to get outside and enjoy the beautiful natural areas that have helped get them through the pandemic,” said Linda Smith, UTRCA Community Partnership Specialist. “We’re excited to work with our community partners in offering wonderful events of family fun.”

The Celebrating Natural Connections events commemorate the continued efforts of frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrate the natural spaces that are so important for our physical and mental health. Local artists and municipalities are involved, as well as hiking, naturalist, and angler clubs. The project is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
