London Forest Fest Celebrates Trees, Nature, and Community
The London Forest Fest brought the community together on September 26 at Westminster Ponds for a day of outdoor fun, environmental learning, and celebrating London’s urban forest.
Hosted during National Forest Week by the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), the City of London, and ReForest London, the free event featured activities for all ages, including birds of prey shows, chainsaw carving demonstrations, guided hikes, and interactive displays hosted by local environmental organizations.

Visitors had many chances to discover more about the trees, wildlife, and natural spaces that make London such a special place to live. Indigenous perspectives and connections to the land were another important part of the event, offering opportunities to recognize Indigenous knowledge and relationships with trees, forests, and the natural world. The event also encouraged people to connect with local organizations and learn how they can help protect and care for the environment.

With London celebrating its designation as the 2026 Forest Capital of Canada, Forest Fest was a wonderful event to celebrate our community’s connection to trees and forests and inspire continued environmental stewardship.
