St. Marys Tree Power Returns
The Town of St. Marys and the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) have partnered again on the St. Marys Tree Power program to make native hardwood trees available and affordable for residents.
St. Marys residents can purchase a tree via UTRCA’s online shop now. The trees will be available for pick up in St. Marys on Saturday, October 4.
“We are excited to reintroduce this program for the fourth year, building on the successes of previous years,” said Thomas Redman, Public Works Coordinator for the Town of St. Marys. “This initiative is a fantastic way to enhance our town’s tree canopy.”
Rob Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Recreation Supervisor, adds, “This is a great partnership with the town and always very well received by St. Marys residents.”
The goal of the program is to create a greener and more beautiful community by adding native trees. The UTRCA Tree Power program began 14 years ago in London.
