Tree Power program returns to Stratford!

Tree planting season may seem a long way off but Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA)’s spring Tree Power programs are around the corner! This popular program provides watershed residents with affordable native trees through partnerships with our municipalities and sponsors.

The Festival Hydro Tree Power returns to Stratford with tree pick up Saturday, April 13. Eight different species will be available: Autumn Fantasy Maple, Black Cherry, Bur Oak, Red Maple, Red Oak, Tulip, White Pine and White Spruces. All trees are $25 each.

“I am truly excited about once again working with UTRCA and the City of Stratford’s Energy and Environment Advisory Committee to bring the Tree Power Program to Stratford for 2024! This initiative has seen an incredible turn out over the last few years, including a sell out in 2023! Tree Power truly embodies Festival Hydro’s commitment to environmental sustainability and reflects our dedication to making a meaningful impact within the community we call home, and our planet,” says Jeff Graham, CEO, Festival Hydro Inc.

Online orders will open on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 8 am. Trees are $25 each and residents are asked to purchase one per property so that as many people can benefit from the programs as possible. Follow this Festival Hydro Tree Power in Stratford link for: Online ordering.
