Tree Power returns to Lucan Biddulph

The Township of Lucan Biddulph, the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA), and Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) have partnered for a third year to make native trees available and affordable for Lucan Biddulph residents through the Tree Power program. There will be 125 trees available, all for $30 each. Orders will open online on Tuesday, August 18. The trees will be available for pick up on Saturday, October 3rd from 9 am to 11 am at the Lucan Public Works Building.

Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson shared, “The Township of Lucan Biddulph is once again proud to partner with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) through the Tree Power Program. This initiative is an excellent example of how local partnerships can make a meaningful difference in our community by encouraging tree planting, enhancing our natural environment, and supporting a healthier and more sustainable future. We are pleased to support a program that empowers residents to take action in their own yards and neighbourhoods while contributing to the long-term environmental health and resiliency of Lucan Biddulph. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the UTRCA and seeing the positive impact of Tree Power throughout our community.”

Rob Davies, UTRCA Forestry and Restoration Supervisor adds, “the UTRCA and ABCA are very happy to return for a third year of the Tree Power program and continue this partnership with Lucan Biddulph Township. It’s a great way to help residents access affordable trees and get more planted in their local environment.”
